Smile

In the story, Smile by Raina Telgemeier, a young teenager, also named Raina,
just wants to have normal High School years. But that is impossible, due to
the dentistry on her front teeth, after a fall while chasing her friends. Raina
puts a “cast”, a retainer, [after an extraction of the jammed-in front teeth
and finally, braces. After lots and lots and lots of dentistry, Raina finally
has normal teeth, and is able to live the normal life of a teen.

Wolves of the Beyond:

Shadow Wolf

Faolan is a young wolf who is struggling to fit in with his clan, the MacDuncan
clan. And all he wants is to be a good pack member, but, being raised by a
bear and basically does not know anything about his kind. But then, a
Gaddergnaw is announced, a game where wolves who are deformed.
But a Malcach has been killed by a wolf, which is illegal. Everyone thinks
Faolan did it. After the first challenge, [a brrygis, a hunt, that Faolan failed
because he missed his cue on the “kill rush” because of a wolf who is
missing a tail, named Heep annoyed him], all the wolves competing were
to gnaw a bone with a story. This was Faolan’s specialty, for he was already
at level 4. He told the story of his Golden Summer with his second milk giver,
Thunderheart. But then, Heep caught him with the bones of the malcach
that he did not murder. And this was all the wolves needed. They said
they would tear him apart, slowly, but friends came to his aid, Heep was
caught, but he slipped away to the Outermost, where no wolf was civilized.

Wolves of the Beyond:

Watch Wolf

In the book, Wolves of the Beyond: Watch Wolf by Kathryn Lasky it stars a
young wolf who has a splayed paw, with a mysterious, faint spiral marking,
and was raised by a bear named Faolan, who has just been elected to do a
sacred job, but a clan, the MacHeath clan, devise a plan to start a war. So
they steal a single bear cub, and the bears get mad, so the start a war. Of
course, Faolan does not want bloodshed of his brothers and sisters, neither
of his 2nd milk giver’s kind. So, Faolan and his friend, Edme, go out to find
and rescue the cub from wherever he may be. During the rescue, they found
a wolf with the “foaming mouth disease”, or rabies. They finally rescued the
cub, returned him to his mother, but the MacHeath clan tried to kill the king
of the bears. Faolan, or someone else, killed them and banished them to
the “Outermost”.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Harry Potter, the main character and his friends Hermione Granger and
Ronald Weasley try to defeat Harry’s worst enemy, Lord Voldemort. They
find a diary that belongs to someone named Tom Riddle, or, the real Lord
Voldemort. Harry thinks that it might lead to the source of  the voice in the
walls and the attacks on the students of Hogwarts. Then, Harry overhears
the teachers that Ginny, Ron’s sister, is in something called the Chamber of  
Secrets. And then, Harry being Harry, went in to save her. In the fight
between Harry and a giant snake named the Baskalisk, Harry finds the
the sword of Gryffindor, the founder of Harry’s house at Hogwarts, kills
the Baskalisk, and pierces the diary. And destroys one of the 7 horcruxes
of Voldemort. [A horcrux is a part of a wizard, hidden in something or
someone.]

Prisoner of Azkaban

Suspense? Tension? Terror? You got it! In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of
Azkaban by J.K Rowling, it stars a young wizard’s third year at his school,
that he longs to be his home, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry,
and the trials he has to go through, dementors, happiness sucking, ghastly
creatures. And with the help of the new, and best, Defense Against the Dark
Arts teacher, Remus Lupin, a werewolf, he helps save his thought-to-be-a-
murderer godfather, and best friend of Harry’s parents, Sirius Black from
something worse than death, a dementors kiss. He also has to go through
a fresh school year’s worth of torture by the loathed Professor Severus
Snape. In this book Harry meets the cause of his parent’s deaths, Ron,
Harry’s best friends rat Scabbers, turns out to be Peter Pettigrew, the
Secret Keeper of the Potters. To save Sirius Harry has to go back in
time with Hermione Granger, another friend, to save Buckbeak the
hippogriff to Sirius so he can escape. The plan worked!! With the happy
thought of his innocent godfather, Sirius, free, Harry goes back to his home.

The main character, Red, is a tree, with his best friend, a crow named Bongo,
go through a lifetime together. Housing many animals, Red goes through it
all, threat, love, life. But, the citizens of the neighborhood of which Red lives
in, are starting to think that it is Red’s time to go. People are complaining,
but there are two children, and the inhabitants of Red, on his behalf. What
about the small tradition that little town had? Where would people wish for
things, on cloth or paper? On the day after he thought-to-be last Wishing
Day, Red’s residents fled, but right before he got cut down forever, the
animals, family by family, took cover in Red. Protecting him. And thus,
saving Red.

Dragon Rider: book 1

Dragon Rider, one that will lift your heart up and away, with the main 
characters, Ben, Sorrel and Firedrake, they take a fabulous journey to the 
dragon heaven, The Rim Of Heaven, while being pursued by the dreaded and hungry Golden
One, or the fake [as in, made by a human] Nettlebrand and his 
servant, Gravelbeard. The thing is, is that no one remembers where the Rim of 
Heaven lies. So the 3 main characters and a tag-along servant who betrayed 
his master Nettlebrand, made-by-human Twigleg, go through strain and strife 
but they make wonderful friends along the way. Including Professor 
Greenbloom who is searching for any magical creatures in the world and his 
family. Eventually, they find the Rim of Heaven, and defeat the Golden One.
